You already know that we just came back from Milan (it was business AND pleasure) and that we took a break from our regular guides with events in Bucharest. Now we are back and we are super super-excited about what awaits next week!
We start with a visit in the creative district. We have been to Diploma before, and that is why we can fully recommend this event. This year it lasts 10 days, from 5 to 14 October, at the Dacia House, so you have a short time left. You must also go to TASTEmakers x DIPLOMA Party on October 13th. We have some secret sources who said it will be great !!
Black Sea Arts Festival 2018
This year is the second edition of the Black Sea Arts Festival. It started yesterday and it ends on Sunday, so get ready for a full weekend. The festival brings us various artists from Ukraine, Russia, Moldova, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Turkey, Bulgaria and Romania through screenings of documentary films, photo and video exhibitions, debates and Q & A, theater, concerts, workshops and architectural projects. We plan to go to the Gloria (Slava) movie screening at Deschis Gastrobar soon. See you there?
Games and Politics
I found out about this exhibition about a month ago, I checked it on the calendar immediately and so I really regretted that I could not go to the opening on 5th. The good news is that it takes places until 21st at the new Goethe Institute. “18 video games (16 which can be played and two in the” Let’s Play “version) invite visitors to play and reflect on the role of the games. They are complemented by three documentation on the subject. The games tackle artistic themes such as media criticism, migration, power relations, gender roles and militarism. ”
National Theater Festival
We make a small exception from the rule and present an event that begins in a week, on October 19 and lasts for ten days. The National Theater Festival brings us a lot of theater plays that are a must-watch. Among them is The incredible and sad tale of Eredandra and his grandmother, by Gabriel García Márquez, Director Yuri Kordonsky, where we really wanted to go. The bad part is that it’s already sold out. Among the other plays where we can find places we recommend Migrating or We are many in the same boat, from Tomcsa Sándor Theater Odorheiu Secuiesc, King dies, from TNB and The Disputa, from Nottara Theater. Hurry up for a ticket!
Girls’ WEEK | A Dance Intensive for the Ladies
Whatever starts with Girls Week must be good. This is why we recommend this intensive … dance course. Artizthick started this initiative to celebrate femininity. So, you have 3 dance classes / day, where you will learn the basics of the most feminine dance styles: Dancehall, Vogue, Waacking, with bonus: stretching class, hip hop class, heels. You also get a goodies gift bag of “admission” at the end of the way from L’occitane and Batiste and a chance to spend more time with your friends. Pretty, right?
